BELIEFS AND VALUES

Human resources are the most vital resources of any nation.

Human resources are not only the staffs of businesses and corporations, but also all Nigerians, including, for example, all the children and their teachers in ill-equipped public schools and the millions of children not attending school at all.

The strengths of a nation’s social enterprises and social institutions are critical determinants of the quality of a nation’s development and the well-being of its people.

By 2050 Nigeria is projected to become the third most populous nation globally. Establishing a Social Development Coalition of the principal social development enterprises and institutions, and building their organizational capacity and effectiveness in Nigeria, will lead to greater synergistic impact for accomplishing a shared vision of Nigeria as a giant of social development and global leadership.

Nigeria has a potential ocean of active and retired professionals who, when appropriately organized and engaged as volunteers in the future Social Development Coalition, would help enable Nigeria to achieve transformative social as well as economic progress long before 2050.

Nigeria not only needs to promote business entrepreneurism, but it must also realize that social entrepreneurism is an equally important twin on the other side of the coin. We are committed to enhancing social entrepreneurism and spreading a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy across Nigeria.

We draw our inspiration for service to Nigeria in part from the selfless example of

Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, who risked and lost her own life successfully preventing the spread of Ebola in Nigeria.
